With the effects of climate change evident for all to see in the form of recent extreme weather events, the time for positive action has never been more urgent.

It’s down to all of us, businesses and communities, to contribute in any way we can – and September is a great month for keeping ourselves accountable, with a host of environmental awareness days and initiatives taking place.

The Great Big Green Week runs from 18-26 September and promises a national week of 3000+ events celebrating action on climate change – an initiative close to our hearts.

Recycle Week takes place from 20-26 September; Zero Emissions Day on 21 September and Car Free Day on 22 September – which will the team either come to work on bike or foot!

Our pledge to find sustainable solutions and protect our planet, however, we can is one of the key tenets of our business. It’s also one of the key reasons we were awarded the role of official uniform supplier to the 26th Climate Change Conference (COP26), which is taking place next month.

We don’t believe workplace safety should come at the price of the planet we share, and along with committing to using recycled, reusable materials where possible, we’re also currently working on a new recycling programme: lION Safety Workwear and PPE Recycling plan to stop obsolete safety equipment and workwear ending up in a landfill.

We’ll be sure to update you with all the exciting details when we’ve finalised our plans. In the meantime, watch this space.
